FORT MILL, SC (WBTV)- A former elementary school Parent-Teacher treasurer is facing charges after she is accused of stealing money and using it for personal use.
According to a Fort Mill Police report, officers were contacted by several members of the Pleasant Knoll Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization board members on Tuesday.
Board members Erica Angeldorf and Alecia Belt told police that former PTO Treasurer Sherry Slate stole more than $35,000 from the elementary school PTO.
They say Slate, 43, used the money for her own personal use.
Slate is accused of stealing the money from December 2011 until April 2013.
