Deputies looking for thief caught on video | Crime

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance identifying a man who was caught on video stealing car batteries.

The burglary happened around 9:15 p.m. at the Walmart on on Charlotte Highway, deputies say.

The man in the pictures allegedly broke into the used battery cage behind the business and took 150 used cat batteries worth approximately $1,350. Police beleive the man was wearing the yellow safety vest in an attempt to look like an employee.

The man's vehicle, which appears to be a dark colored SUV, can also be seen in the surveillance pictures.
